I was born and raised in Weimar, Texas. I started painting in 1979 and I´m predominantly seld-taught. I have taken many workshops of well-known artists through the years and I´ve studied through books and mostly trial and error. I´m considered a contemporary colorist, although when doing animal portraits, I´m a realist. I work in acrylic, oil and pastel. Along with selling fine art I´ve sold photographie backdrops and have painted many murals in homes and offices. Much of my work is landscapes. I also paint still-lifes or architecture. My work is becoming more abstract and I´m finding it fascinating, fun and freeing. I love color. My work is constantly changing because to me, trying new techniques and experimentating new ways of painting brings more demension of my work. Right now I work with the pallette-knife and I find it quite challenging. I have won many awards in local contests including BEST OF SHOW and HÜNORABLE MENTION. I´m a member of the LIVE OAK ART CLUB.
