Born in 1966. Meinke Flesseman studied Fine Art at the Lorenzo di Medici Academy in Florence and the Volkov Fine Arts Academy, Moscow.

She is greatly influenced by her natural surroundings and one’s relationship with the land.

Meinke creates layered textured canvases, producing a depth and intensity of colour.

Tonally sublime, the sweeping and confident brushstrokes in her canvases take the viewer

on an emotional journey. The images often appear to have a dreamlike, ethereal quality.

The landscapes seem to breath fire, wind and rain.
